The Mad Artist of Metropolis: (Superman) Paul McKenzie, an artist famed for his realism, is rumored to have had a mental break. the gallery agrees to show his latest painting in hopes of boosting his morale and restoring his mind but when his painting summer scean in the middle of winter is laughed at Superman fears his great talent will be lost so he arranges to make the painting come true. this gives Dr. Hugo Renalds the idea of getting McKenzie to paint scenes that will keep Superman from stopping crime.
  3. The Great Brain of Space: (Tommy Tomorrow) Dr. Willis Lorner, a scientist from the small, volcanic planet of Pallas which is known for its abundance of gems, creates a "mechanical brain" that he claims can predict the future. it predicts a series of disasters ending with Pallas being destroyed by an internal volcanic eruption. all the other predictions seem to come true so when a trimmer happens on Pallas the people evacuate quickly but it was all a setup so Lorner and his accomplice could loot the world's gems.
  4. Shorty: (gag strip) Shorty brags about a lunch where Betty Grable and Lana Turner both sat at his table. the guy asks why they would eat with him and he responds that they didn't eat with him they just sat at his table, he was working as a busboy at the restaurant.
  5. The Gold That Changed to Lead: (Congo Bill) Bill investigates a gold shipment that supposedly turned to lead and finds the pilot landed where nobody thought he could and switched it out.

  7. The King of Handcuff: (Vigilante) Dod Horton is so obsessed with his hobby of collecting the cuffs used to bring in famed outlaws that he starts attacking lawmen as they are transporting them, allowing the outlaws to get away just so he can get their cuffs.
